ADSORPTIVE MATERIAL ORIGINATED FROM TREE BRANCH AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorptive material originated from tree branches in which a production process is reduced by using tree branches as a raw material, and thus cost reduction is achieved and which has characteristics equivalent to activated carbon, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The adsorptive material uses trees branch as a raw material and can be obtained only by carbonizing it but is not required for activation. In the prepared adsorptive material, a specific surface area measured without crushing a carbonized compound in 77K by BET adsorption method is more than that of activated carbon. An acetic acid removal performance by an acetic acid aqueous solution steamy adsorption test is higher that of activated carbon. An apple pruning branch can be used as a tree branch.
