PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance working efficiency, to improve working environment of a worker, and to reduce manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The abrasive water jet machining device includes: an abrasive nozzle assembly 14 for jetting ultra-high pressure water mixed with an abrasive when a workpiece is machined in a desired shape; a catcher cup 15 for recovering the ultra-high pressure water jetted from the abrasive nozzle assembly 14; and a clearance adjustment mechanism for adjusting a clearance of the abrasive nozzle assembly 14 and the catcher cup 15 so as to retain a clearance between the catcher cup 15 and the workpiece to a constant level.
