A method, user equipment, base station and system for sharing detecting the timing advance value are provided in the embodiments of the present invention, which relate to communication technical field. The embodiments of the present invention solve the problem that the normal service can not be provided, because the Timing Advance (TA) can not be shared between different uplink Component Carriers (CCs) in the prior art. The user equipment in the embodiments of the present invention can judge that the excessive time offset denotes that the same TA value can not be shared from the time offset between the synchronizations of the downlink component carriers corresponding to the uplink component carriers; thus the base station can calculate the TA value directly by the dedicated preamble sequence, and then compares it with the TA value of one of the component carriers. An excessive difference between the TA values denotes that the same TA value can not be shared. The embodiments of the present invention are mainly used in various wireless communication systems.
