The air separator has a cleaning chamber (1) which supplies the light admixture with granular material (3) and an air flow (4) that is generated by a blower (5). The granular material is separated in the cleaning chamber by the air flow for the better part from the light admixture and is discharged from the cleaning chamber over a service channel (6).
