<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for control of a gas sensor, capable of precisely correcting the sensor output of the gas sensor element having a cell constituted by holding a solid electrolyte by a pair of electrodes, and to provide a control system of the gas sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A correction resistor 220 having the correction data (resistance value corresponding to a correction factor K) of the sensor output of the sensor element 10 is integrally provided to the sensor element 10 and electrically connected to a VS cell 245. When the solid electrolyte 140 is inactive, the solid electrolyte 140 shows insulating properties and the resistance value of the correction resistor 220 can be read by making a minute electric current Icp pass through the VS cell 245. If the solid electrolyte 140 is activated, an electric current does not almost flow to the correction resistor 220 of a resistance value tenfold or above the solid electrolyte 140 even if the minute electric current Icp is passed. A pump electric current Ip is controlled corresponding to the passage of the minute electric current Icp and the detection signal corresponding to the concentration of oxygen is obtained to correct the correction factor K. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
