<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a page preview so as to enable a user to confirm the direction of printing when printing direction information is not properly designated from an application. <P>SOLUTION: When a printing setting change program is called from the application, the application having called the program is specified. Then, it is determined whether the application is an application program which does not always deliver the direction of printing having matched with a printed document to the printing setting program.
