<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a glass product, whereby the glass product can be manufactured in large numbers by pressing, the percentage of rejects due to occurrence of bubbles can be substantially reduced, and the dimension can be readily controlled. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the glass product by pressing glass comprises: a step of preparing a mold having a shape of the desired glass product; a step of heating the glass up to a temperature just below that at which it melts; a step of cooling the heated glass to a temperature within the range of 750 to 850°C; a step of molding the cooled glass by a pressing method in the mold; and the step of air-cooling the molded glass, thereby individually manufacturing the glass product. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
