WATERPROOF MEMBER FOR CABLE PENETRATING SECTION, METHOD FOR WATERPROOF OF CABLE PENETRATING SECTION USING THE SAME AND WATERPROOF JUNCTION BOX

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof member for a cable penetrating section, which has a simple structure and can be inexpensively manufactured.

SOLUTION: The waterproof member for the cable penetrating section is used for a waterproof junction box which comprises an openable/closable box body and a lid and in which a circular cable inserting hole formed of a pair of semi-circular cuts formed on cable introduction walls of the box body and the lid respectively are formed on a cable introduction wall. A waterproof member 25' is made by attaching rigid support members 27' capable of rotating both end portions of a flexible cylindrical rubber 26' for waterproof in a relatively reverse direction to both the ends of the cylindrical rubber 26'. When the waterproof member is put on the cable 11 as shown by (b) and the support members on both sides are twisted reversely as shown by (c), an intermediate portion of the cylindrical rubber is reduced in its diameter and the intermediate portion closely contacts the outer circumference of the cable. Further, the cylindrical rubber is compressed if necessary as shown by (d). The watertightness of the outer circumferential surface of the cable can be ensured by the cylindrical rubber which closely contacts.
