PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which improves low noise performance and abrasion resistance, while restraining reduction in drainage performance. SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire is provided by partitioning a plurality of blocks by at least one circumferential directional groove and the tread end extending along the equator of the tire and a plurality of width directional grooves communicating with the circumferential directional groove on a tread of the tire. The pneumatic tire is characterized in that projection parts each covering at least the most acute corner part of the block and existing in a projection area in at least part when projecting the width directional groove on the circumferential directional groove, are arranged on a groove wall surface on the circumferential directional groove side, and the projection part reduces toward an end part in the tread circumferential direction in a projection width in the tire width direction.
