PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet cartridge in which a fiber assembly is fixed within an ink storage part and effects by variation of the density of the fiber assembly are suppressed. SOLUTION: The ink jet cartridge 1 includes: a tank case 10 having a space with an opening; a lid 30 closing the opening; the ink storage part 40 formed by the space of the tank case 10 and the lid 30; and an ink absorber 20 stored within the ink storage part 40. The lid 30 includes projections 31 projecting toward the space of the tank case 10, and recesses 21 are provided in positions corresponding to the projections 31 of the lid 30 in the ink absorber 20.
