PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid diester compound having the same performance as a conventional N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid alkali salt or N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid diester, and also having a lower freezing point as compared with those of the conventional ones. SOLUTION: This N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid diester compound is obtained by performing the esterification reaction of the N-long chain acyl acidic amino acid having 8 to 22C acyl with a mixture of branched chain higher alcohols having 18 mean number of carbon atoms.
