<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium transition metal silicate having a small-particle diameter and low crystallinity, which can carry out charge/discharge reaction in an environment of room temperature, as a positive electrode active substance for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, and to provide a manufacturing method for the metal silicate. <P>SOLUTION: The lithium transition metal silicate is a material whose diffraction-peak half width value obtained as a result of analysis of the range of 2θ=5 to 50° by a powder X-ray diffraction method lies within the range of 0.175 to 0.6°, and in a microcrystal condition having crystals, with at least one portion of the same covered by an amorphous component; and a portion of the silicate is replaced by metal acid which does not emit oxygen, a phosphoric acid source or a boric acid source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
