<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a difference in level at the top end of a cover by thickening and tapering the top end of the cover and thereby improve the appearance, in a door weather strip for a vehicle including a molding section having a cover extending from a base part mounted to a retainer fixed to a sash and covering the connection part between the sash and a door panel, and to solve a problem that the top end of the cover totters in mounting and is easily deformed by an external force after mounting because of the insufficient rigidity due to the tapering in the case where rain water blown in when opening/closing a door and falling along a sash is not allowed to stop at the top end of the cover but allowed to smoothly flow. <P>SOLUTION: The connection part 40 of the top end of the cover connected to the base part is thickened to form a rib 49 which extends upward along a side end surface of the base part for a certain length and has a thickness same as that of the base part. The upper part of the rib is pushed and fitted in a fitting recess of the retainer 33 together with the base part 42, thereby firmly supporting the whole rib. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
