<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system which is capable of easily determining whether an information processor can support an image forming apparatus or not without performing complicated confirming operation, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system includes the information processor and an image forming apparatus 17 for performing various processes on the basis of a processing signal transmitted from the information processor and includes a wireless USB interface 8 for enabling signal transmission/reception between the image forming apparatus 17 and the information processor. The controller 11 of the image forming apparatus 17 and the CPU of the information processor are provided with: a compliance determination means for determining whether the image forming apparatus 17 is compliant with OS of the information processor or not on the basis of OS information of the information processor; and an installation processing means which, when the compliance determination means determines that the image forming apparatus 17 is compliant with the OS of the information processor, transfers a printer driver stored in the image forming apparatus 17 to the information processor via the wireless USB interface to install the printer driver. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
