PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate steam leakage caused by deterioration of a steam release valve by elongating the service life of the steam release valve, and prevent waste release of steam. SOLUTION: This steam supply device includes a steam release route 3 branched from the middle of a steam supply route 2 sending steam generated by a boiler 1 to a steam use portion, and by releasing surplus portions of the steam generated by the boiler 1 to outside through the steam release route 3, the pressure of the steam is controlled. The steam release valve 4 and a back pressure valve 5 are provided in the steam release route 3 in this order from the upstream side. The steam release valve 4 is opened when a steam pressure value exceeds an upper limit value, and is closed when the steam pressure value becomes less than a lower limit value. An opening of the back pressure valve 5 is controlled so that steam pressure on the back pressure valve primary side is maintained at predetermined pressure between the upper limit value and lower limit value for opening/closing the steam release valve 4.
