PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the usability of a wireless communication device that uses a different communication method to perform handover. SOLUTION: A wireless communication system includes: a terminal device existing in a network; a first wireless communication device; and a second wireless communication device where, when the first wireless communication device tries to perform handover in a state that the first wireless communication device is connected to the terminal device via wireless LAN and participates in the network, the first wireless communication device transmits participation information for participating in the network to the second wireless communication device via NFC, and when the second wireless communication device receives the participation information via the NFC and tries to perform handover, the second wireless communication device is connected to and participates in the network via the wireless LAN based on the obtained participation information.
