<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method (600) for contactlessly measuring multiple shaft parameters. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes a step (602) of magnetically encoding multiple sections of the shafts (12, 52, 102, 302) using pulsed currents. The method also includes a step (604) of sensing a magnetic field of the encoded sections of the shaft using multiple sensors arranged circumferentially about the shaft.
