<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress heat transfer from an electric motor to a reduction gear in an electric brake device for a vehicle, which includes a disc brake with friction pads facing side faces of a disc rotor, the electric motor attached to a caliper body of the disc brake, a motion converting mechanism having a rotary shaft and moving the friction pads forward and backward with respect to the disc rotor in response to rotation of the rotary shaft, and the reduction gear provided between the electric motor and the rotary shaft. <P>SOLUTION: An insulating space 121 is disposed between a motor chamber 84 formed in the motor case 83 of the electric motor 22A, and a speed reduction chamber 59 housing the reduction gear 23A such that at least one part thereof is formed in the caliper body 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
