PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent delay of completion of an image forming operation, due to an adjustment operation for maintaining/improving image quality during the image forming operation. SOLUTION: Frequency of use of an image forming apparatus is analyzed so as to execute image adjustment other than the periodic image adjustment of the image formation. An image is adjusted during a period where the image forming apparatus is used not frequently, or by giving preference to printing speed over an image density value, thereby preventing delay of completion of printing or printing from being interrupted.
