PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber sensor that improves the measurement accuracy of stress and prevents the breakage of components even when an excessive stress is given to the detection surface. SOLUTION: An elastic body 56 is provided to convert the direction of a stress that is given in a different direction from the lengthwise direction of optical fibers 38, 44 and 50 to the parallel direction to the lengthwise direction thereof and transmit to gratings 40, 46 and 52. The elastic body 56 includes a flattened part 58 that is extended in the parallel direction to the optical fibers 38, 44 and 50 in the lengthwise direction, inclined parts 62a and 62b connected with both ends of the flattened part 58, and joint parts 64a and 64b that are connected with the inclined parts 62a and 62b and are joined with the optical fibers 38, 44 and 50 while extending in the vertical direction to the optical fibers 38, 44 and 50 in the lengthwise direction.
