PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system capable of selecting a control target by identifying a device which have operated as a group of control targets in the last operation even if IDs set by a user overlap between a plurality of devices. SOLUTION: The remote control system includes a controller and a plurality of devices to be controlled by the controller. In the control system, the devices each store a first ID set by a user and a second ID to be stored commonly by the devices to be controlled by the controller. The controller acquires the first ID and second ID from each of the devices while specifying the plurality of devices to be controlled per device by using the first ID, associates one at the maximum from among the devices which exist in the remote control system and have the first ID used for specifying each of the devices as control targets to each of the devices specified as control target on the basis of the acquired first and second IDs (S212-S220), and controls the associated device.
