<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a high quality image, in an electro-optical device of a liquid crystal, device or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The electro-optical device includes: a plurality of pixel electrodes (9a) arranged in a display region (10a); transistors (30) provided so as to correspond to pixel electrodes; a data line (6) electrically connected to the transistor and supplying an image signal, a common electrode (71), facing the pixel electrode and constituting a storage capacitance (70) with the pixel electrode; and an additional capacitor (200) electrically connected to the data line, in a dummy region (10b) arranged around the display region.
