LASER MOUNTING DEVICE AND OPTICAL PICKUP DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser mounting device and an optical pickup device equipped with the same for facilitating the adjustment of a laser beam.

SOLUTION: The laser mounting device 10 is composed of an LD package 12 and an LD holder 14 for housing the LD package, and the first inner wall 18 of the LD holder 14 contacting with the side wall of the LD package 12 forms an inclined surface. Therefore, even if the laser beam radiated from a light-emitting chip 24 housed in the LD holder 14 slants from an optical axis 16, the traveling direction of the laser beam is corrected to the side of the optical axis 16 because the direction of the LD package 12 is corrected by the first wall 18 being the inclined surface of the LD package.
