<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical network device which can select places in which the compensation of optical signal characteristics is needed in an optical network, and also to provide the optical network using it. <P>SOLUTION: The optical network device measures the optical signal characteristic at every wavelength, and informs an optical network device on an communication path route of its optical signal characteristic index and control need determining threshold. In the upstream of the communication path route, the optical network device possible to compensate the optical signal characteristics at every wavelength (a start point of the communication path, etc.) determines whether resolution of a deviation among different wavelengths is required, and places to be resolved by using the optical signal characteristic index and the control need determining threshold. A compensator to be controlled and its correction amount are determined based on the result, and the optical network device with the compensator is instructed to control the compensator by using a communication path establishment control protocol such as a GMPLS expansion RSVP-TE. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
