NOVEL STRAIN BELONGING TO GENUS GLUCONACETOBACTER HAVING ACTIVITY FOR PRODUCING CELLULOSE WITH HIGH YIELD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel strain belonging to a genus Gluconacetobacter and having activity giving high-yield production of cellulose.

SOLUTION: The novel strain belonging to the genus Gluconacetobacter and having activity for producing cellulose is provided. The novel strain can produce nano-structural cellulose in very high efficiency. The strain is very excellent in activity for producing cellulose, and the produced cellulose is bacteria cellulose having a nano structure very excellent in thermal characteristics and can be effectively used for bio-nano fibers. Particularly, the strain can be used in producing cellulose-based resins by being impregnated with the resins, while the cellulose-based resins are suitable when used for substrates of liquid crystal display devices.
