<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to prevent failures, such as image failure, by preventing the occurrence of leak even when the state of the surface layer of a toner bearing roller changes and by stabilizing the state of a flare formed on the toner bearing roller. <P>SOLUTION: The toner bearing roller 103 has a plurality of types of electrodes formed on its circumference to be insulated from each other, and the surface layer formed from dielectric on a circumferential side from the plurality of types of electrodes. An electric field for causing a developer on the toner bearing roller 103 to fly is generated between the different types of electrodes on the toner bearing roller 103. The toner bearing roller 103 includes: a toner supply roller 105 for supplying toner in contact with the toner bearing roller 103; and an electrostatic capacity-measuring device 130 for measuring load capacity between the plurality of types of electrodes of the toner bearing roller 103. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
