PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a coating type separator while preventing the occurrence of wrinkles, without using a special wrinkle-stretch device. SOLUTION: While applying a tension of >0.03 N/mm and≤0.1 N/mm on a belt-shape porous film 1 in the longitudinal direction, the porous film is transferred by a transfer system including a plurality of transfer rolls, and a coating liquid is applied during the transfer.
