PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform accurate navigation even if position direction sensors cannot be used. SOLUTION: A navigation system includes: a portable terminal device 10 including a guidance request means for transmitting peripheral image information obtained by photographing the peripheral environment of the current position of a self-terminal by an embedded camera as a guidance request; a guidance terminal 30 for outputting speech guidance on the basis of the guidance request from the portable terminal device 10; and a speech analysis conversion server 20 including a speech analysis and conversion means for converting the speech guidance of the guidance terminal 30 into instruction image information which is the imaged information of the content of the speech guidance, and transmitting it to the portable terminal device 10.
