<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The device (1) has a machining unit (4) connected with a machine bed (10), where the machine bed has a base body (12) sectionally made of steel concrete. The base body has a laminar base section (14) and a side section (16) provided angular to the base section. The base body is provided with the side section and another side section (18) such that the base body exhibits a U-shaped or triangular cross section. The base body has steel profiles (20, 20') encased in concrete. The steel profile is arranged at an upper surface of free ends or a corner of the base body. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a machining device. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device i.e. computer numerical controlled-machining center, for machining a workpiece partially made of wood or wood material and plastic, in furniture- and component industries.
