<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the taking-out of cash from a cash register. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring device 100 has: an image acquiring part 102 for acquiring a frame image obtained by imaging a space where the cash register is placed; and an image processing part 104 for comparing a reference image with the frame image. The image processing part 104 includes: a multiple area setting part 116 for setting multiple division areas with the position of a clerk existing in a clerk area as a base point; an action detecting part 118 for determining whether the clerk is taking an action with respect to a drawer, on the basis of the pixel value of the frame image in the superimposed division areas when at least one of the multiple division areas is superimposed on a drawer area occupied by the opened drawer of the cash register; a customer existence determining part 112 for determining existence of the customer in a customer area, on the basis of the pixel value of the frame image in the customer area; and a monitoring part 120 for transmitting alarm when it is determined that the clerk is taking an action with respect to the drawer and also the absence of the customer is determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
