<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen production apparatus which has a high efficiency of light utilization, can produce hydrogen at a high efficiency, and does not decrease in the rate of hydrogen generation. <P>SOLUTION: The hydrogen production apparatus is equipped with a photoelectric conversion part having a light-receiving surface and a back surface, and a first gas generation part and a second gas generation part which have been disposed over the back surface, wherein one of the first and second gas generation parts is a hydrogen generation part in which H<SB>2</SB>is generated from an electrolytic solution, and the other is an oxygen generation part in which O<SB>2</SB>is generated from the electrolytic solution, at least one of the first gas generation part and the second gas generation part is multiple, and the photoelectric conversion part is electrically connected to the first gas generation part and the second gas generation part so that the electromotive force generated when the photoelectric conversion part receives light is supplied to the first gas generation part and the second gas generation part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
