<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for managing a marine internal combustion engine, which easily copes with the acquisition of maintenance authentication when the maintenance authentication is required after maintaining the marine internal combustion engine in a maintenance center. <P>SOLUTION: After the maintenance of the internal combustion engine is completed in the maintenance center, wear and damage information of replaced components is inputted to an information terminal together with information about the maintenance such as the names of replaced components in the internal combustion engine, performance of the components, and component replacement dates (S32). When the maintenance authentication is required with respect to the marine internal combustion engine after performing the maintenance, an information management device transmits to the information terminal of an authentication institution, intrinsic information of the internal combustion engine including information about maintenance history stored in a storage medium (S33). Then, the authentication is determined based on the intrinsic information of the marine internal combustion engine, so that the authentication is imparted to the marine internal combustion engine (S34).
