<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for inserting coils by and with which lengths of coil ends projected from an end face of a stator core become short even when inserting multiphase coils. <P>SOLUTION: This coil inserting method includes a process of disabling a lower coil and an upper coil to compete with each other by pushing down the curved sections in a direction of leaving the axis of the stator core in a state that the coil curved sections are projecting from the end faces of the stator core in a process of pushing multiphase coils into the slots of the stator core.
