SINTERED COMPACT, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, PHOTOCATALYST, GLASS GRANULE MIXTURE AND SLURRY MIXTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocatalytic functional stock material comprising two or more kinds of different photocatalytic compounds in required sufficient quantity with glass as raw material and having excellent photocatalytic activity. SOLUTION: The method for producing a sintered compact includes: a step of mixing glass granules with different compositions to produce a mixture; and a step of heating the mixture to produce a sintered compact of glass ceramics including crystals having photocatalytic activity. The obtained sintered compact can include two or more kinds of crystals selected from the group consisting of TiO2crystals, WO3crystals, ZnO crystals, RnNbO3crystals and RnTaO3crystals (wherein, Rn denotes alkali metals) and their solid solutions.
