PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly determine the arrangement of multiple persons, concerning a system for supporting the confirmation of the arrangement of multiple persons present in a predetermined area. SOLUTION: A formation confirmation support system 1 includes personal digital assistants 2, a base station 3, and a management server 4. The mobile terminals 2 are fixed to persons, respectively, in an area to be measured, and each include a sending portion for sending a radio wave including a terminal ID specific to the mobile terminals 2. The base station 3 is installed around the area to be measured. The number of the base station 3 and the installation position of the base station 3 are adjusted so that a range in which one or more base stations 3 and the mobile terminals 2 are communicable covers the whole area to be measured. The base station 3 receives radio wave from a mobile terminal 2, determines direction to the mobile terminal 2 and distance to the mobile terminal 2 based on the radio wave received, calculates the position of the mobile terminal 2 based on the determined direction and distance and the position of the base station 3 itself, sends location information including the calculated position of the mobile terminal 2, the terminal ID, and the current time to the server 4. The management server 4 receives the location information of the mobile terminal 2 from the base station 3 as needed, stores it, and displays the arrangement of the mobile terminal2.
