Three-dimensional (3D) eyeglasses, method for driving 3D glasses, and a 3D image providing system are provided. 3D glasses which interwork with the 3D display apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a power unit which supplies power to the 3D eyeglasses; a sensing unit which detects whether or not a user is wearing the 3D eyeglasses; and a controlling unit which controls the power unit to supply power when the sensing unit detects that the user is wearing the 3D eyeglasses.
