<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lead storage battery in which damage of an electrode plate is suppressed when vibration is applied to the lead storage battery using an expanded grid. <P>SOLUTION: A plain part of a sheet side part of an expanded mesh obtained by a rotary method, that is, by developing a sheet in a width direction after forming slits in the sheet and simultaneously, processing each linear part intervening between the slits so as to make them protrude upward and downward alternatively from a sheet face, is cut and removed. As for the linear part most separated from the upper frame skeleton of the linear part to form the expanded mesh part, the plain part is cut and removed so that the linear parts continue over the width direction via node parts of the expanded mesh part. By such a constitution, damage of the electrode plate in vibration is limited to the grid of the lowest part of the electrode plate, and the damage of the whole electrode plate can be suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
