<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter capable of discharging the charges of a capacitor while protecting an overheat. <P>SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 27 detects the temperature of a transistor 24 for a lower arm. A control circuit 26 simultaneously turns on the transistor 23 for an upper arm and the transistor 24 for the lower arm while limiting a current in the transistor 24 for the lower arm. The control circuit 26 discharges the charges of a high-voltage capacitor 25 through the transistor 23 for the upper arm and the transistor 24 for the lower arm and turns off the transistor 24 for the lower arm when the temperature of the transistor 24 for the lower arm detected by the temperature sensor 27 reaches a specified value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
