摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil for an internal combustion engine that prevents a stress relaxing material from being diffused and also securely prevents a crack caused from the upper surface side of an iron core from spreading. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil for the internal combustion engine includes a primary coil 210 and a second coil 220, a center iron core 110 magnetically coupling the two coils to each other and passing through the inner periphery of the primary coil 210, and a side iron core 120 passing through the outer periphery of the secondary coil 220, wherein the primary coil 210, secondary coil 220, center iron core 110, and side iron core 120 are buried in an insulating material 500 for insulating them from high voltages, and a high voltage generated by the secondary coil 220 is transmitted to an ignition plug via a high-voltage terminal 130. The ignition coil is provided with an iron core cover 300 covering the side iron core 120, and a recess 310 is formed on the lower surface of the iron core cover 300 and is coated with a stress relaxing material 700. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
