PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill processor which makes an operator safely perform addition and charge while preventing a setting failure of an added bill when a bill to be processed is added and charged during the drawing operation of the bill into a device body. SOLUTION: The bill processor includes a control means which interrupts drawing operation when an opening/closing position detection means 51 detects that a bill pressing unit 4 is moved in an opening direction during drawing operation in a state that a bill detection means 50 detects the bill held between a bill retention unit 19 and the bill pressing unit 4.
