<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: there is a need to check an attached document in order to obtain the relationship between the position of a rotary switch and a control program. <P>SOLUTION: A safety control device 10 which can be configured in system configuration comprises at least one input unit 18 for connecting a sensor, at least one output unit 22 for connecting to an actuator, and one control unit. The control unit executes a control program for generating a control signal to the output unit 22 according to an input signal in the input unit 18 on the basis of a logic rule, wherein the logic rule is set by a system setting device. In this case, a numeric code representing the logic rule can be generated in the system setting device. The safety control device 10 has an interface 30 for inputting the numeric code.
