<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition having good storage stability, producing an image with color developability on plain paper in high-speed printing while suppressing variation in printing density with time due to pigment precipitation as well as improved fixability on plain paper. <P>SOLUTION: The black ink composition includes a pigment, wherein the value, calculated from an average particle size and a particle size distribution width of the pigment contained in the ink composition and an ink viscosity, falls within a particular range, and the number of coarse particles contained in the ink composition is less than a particular value, which composition further includes a resin emulsion and used for inkjet recording. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
