PACKING FOR VEHICLE, AND METHOD AND STRUCTURE FOR FIXING VEHICLE COMPONENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and structure, capable of more easily and reliably performing an antirust treatment than ever before, and to provide an effective packing that achieves the above, concerning the structure of fixing a component by a bolting to a body panel of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The packing 1 for the vehicle lies between the body panel and the component when the component is fixed by the bolting to the body panel of the vehicle. The packing consists of: a packing body 10 which is formed of a plate-like body having through-holes 11 and 12, the through-holes penetrating bolts; and an antirust seal member 15 which is arranged around an outer end face of the packing body 10. The antirust seal member 15 includes a foamable material which foams and expands by heating upon bake hardening of the body panel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
