PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a venturi device for a turbine combustor. SOLUTION: The venturi device (42) includes a substantially annular outer liner (48); a substantially annular inner liner (46); a venturi channel (50) located between the substantially annular outer and inner liners (48 and 46); the substantially annular outer and inner liners (48 and 46) being substantially V-shaped in axial cross-section, thereby defining a throat region (60); the substantially annular outer liner (48) formed with an array of impingement cooling holes (76) and the substantially annular inner liner (46) formed with a plurality of vortex generators (78) facing the substantially annular outer liner (48).
