PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve usability by enabling a door to be kept open at an optional position only with a hydraulic damper mechanism in a door closer body. SOLUTION: The door closer body 2 in which a hydraulic fluid 7 is enclosed is provided therein with: a main piston 18 which is connected to a link mechanism 6 working with the door DR; a door closing spring 19 which is contracted by the main piston 18 when the door DR is opened, so as to store a force; a hydraulic circuit 16 which stops the main piston 18 while maintaining hydraulic pressures at the front and rear of the main piston 18 while the door DR is opened at the optional position; a timer piston 21 which releases the hydraulic pressures-maintained state of the hydraulic circuit 16 after a predetermined time; and a timer spring 22.
