PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noble manhole with a cover capable of exhibiting a unique working effect. SOLUTION: Inflow holes 2 for flowing underground water into the manhole are formed in the peripheral wall 1a thereof. A cover 3 for covering the outer peripheral portion of the manhole in which the inflow holes 2 are formed is attached to the outer peripheral portion. The cover 3 is formed in a cylindrical body which is formed by arranging wires 3B parallel to each other and which comprises water permeable gaps L between the adjacent wires 3B.
