<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable diagnosis system for diagnosing a cable, without interruption, as well as, disturbing normal communication among terminals and maintaining communication efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The cable diagnosis system in a network for performing communication among terminals using a wired cable includes a tester 1 for diagnosing the cable 2, based on communication data outputted from a terminal 3. The tester 1 includes: a test signal waveform detection unit 11 for receiving communication data outputted from the terminal 3 for performing matching to a predetermined waveform, and outputting trigger information when the matching is successful; a reflected-wave monitor 12 for observing a waveform by the amount of time required for determination from the cable, based on reception of the trigger information; and a fault determination unit 13 for determining abnormalities, based on the voltage value of the waveform observed by the reflected-wave monitor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
