<p>An arrangement comprises a handheld suction unit (3, fig 1) in combination with an elongate suction wand (5, fig 1) to form a stick vac cleaner, the arrangement further comprising a wall-mountable docking station 25 for releasably locking the stick vac cleaner on a wall in an upright, docked position when not in use. The arrangement provides for stable storage of the stick vac cleaner in the upright position, convenient for use. The vacuum cleaner preferably uses rechargeable batteries as a power source and the docking station 25 recharges the batteries when the stick vac is mounted in the docking station 25. A spring loaded catch arrangement for biasing the stick vac into the docking station 25. A pair of clamping members (250, 350, fig 8), which are movable relative to one another may be provided to lock the stick vac in the docking station, with at least one of the clamping members (250, fig 8) being pivotable relative to the wall.</p> |
