Composite fiber comprises at least one additive integrated into the composite fiber, where the additive is suitable for improving at least one property of the composite fiber including e.g. opacity, cellulose content, strength, air permeability, porosity, gloss, smoothness, volume index, wet-, tearing- or chemical resistance. The additive is prepared from at least two liquid and/or solid reactive components, which are separately supplied to the composite fiber, and converted into the additive during or after the production of the composite fiber through a chemical reaction with each other. Composite fiber comprises at least one additive integrated into the composite fiber, where the additive is suitable for improving at least one property of the composite fiber including opacity, brightness, cellulose content, strength, flame-retarding effect, air permeability, porosity, gloss, smoothness, surface feel, printability, foldability, laminating properties, coloring properties, color rendering, wet resistance, tearing resistance, bondability, sheet formation properties, dewatering properties, volume index, roughness, drying, coating ability, chemical resistance, picking resistance or mottling. The additive is prepared from at least two liquid and/or solid reactive components, which are separately supplied to the composite fiber, and converted into the additive during or after the production of the composite fiber through a chemical reaction with each other. An independent claim is also included for producing the composite fiber, comprising preparing the additive from the two liquid and/or solid reactive components, supplying the reactive components separately to the composite fiber, and converting the components together into the additive during or after the production of the composite fiber. |
