PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply repair a steel-tapping hole of a converter in a short time period. SOLUTION: The method for repairing the steel-tapping hole 51a of the converter 51 having the inside lined with a sleeve brick 51b includes: inserting a repair pipe 21 from an in-furnace side to the steel-tapping hole 51a and determining the position; and then charging a monolithic refractory 54 to a gap between the repair pipe 21 for determining the position and the sleeve brick 51b. The repair pipe 21 to be used has a positioning member 21b attached to the upper end, which has a communication part 21c that can pass the monolithic refractory 54 from the upper end side to the lower end side therethrough. The method does not need to remove the base metal and slag which have deposited in the steel-tapping hole as if hanging from the steel-tapping hole and can shorten the time period for repairing the steel-tapping hole, because the method does not need to remove the base metal and the slag.
